James’ Little Steps to Big Steps

From small steps to big strides, Challenge member James is moving steadily closer to his dreams.

James recently had a memorable hospital visit from key members of the Jetstar team after they heard he was an avid aviation enthusiast. It was a fantastic experience, giving James the chance to ask all his burning questions about the aviation industry.

A few weeks later, James was treated to an even more extraordinary experience – a hands-on day with Captain Phil, working in Jetstar’s full-scale flight simulator used for real commercial pilot training. He experienced what it’s like to command a commercial jet, from take-off to in-flight manoeuvres and finally, landing. For James, this was a dream come true – an up-close opportunity to step into the shoes of a captain and operate a passenger airliner. The smile on his face said it all!
