A Little Bit of Cohuna

Cohuna Camp gave our kids a few days away from the usual routine, with big open skies, muddy shoes, fresh air and nowhere they needed to be in a hurry. It was simple in the best way, with plenty of time to just be together and see where the day took them.

There was four wheel driving through the paddocks, fishing by the water, a round of golf, farm animals, and plenty of laughs in between. Some kids tried things they had never done before. Others were happy just being outside with their friends, wandering from one thing to the next.

These camps give kids a chance to step away from hospitals, appointments and everything that can come with cancer. For a little while, life looks more like fishing lines, dusty tracks, shared jokes and tired kids piling into bed at the end of a very full day. And then they come home with muddy clothes, new friends and a few good stories to tell.
