With stunning weather and a fantastic turn-out, the 2018 KTM Ride4Kids event was a HUGE success! Open to families and individuals of all ages and riding abilities, it was amazing to see so many people enjoying a fun day out on a professional track for both Motocross and Off-Road riders.
For the more experienced racers, the event also featured for its second year running the Vincent Chiodo Cup. With cold, hard cash up for grabs from a prize pool of $12,000, the competition was fierce as some of Australia’s best riders competed for ultimate glory. Last year’s inaugural winner, Jack Simpson, tried his hardest to defend his crown but unfortunately went down to Hattah winner and in-form rider, Daniel “Chucky” Sanders, who seized the chequered flag and went home $8,000 richer.
From Saturday’s effort, more than $80,000 was raised for Challenge which is a tremendous result for all involved. Over the 16 years Ride4Kids has been running, more than $800,000 has been raised and this is exactly why the event secures its title as the largest charity dirt bike event in Australia.
Big congratulations to Rielly Lynch and Ashton Riley, who both went home winners with a brand new KTM bike. Rielly scored himself first choice as our highest fundraiser and Ashton was lucky enough to be drawn from the hat to go home with the other!
This event would not be possible without the help of so many organisations and individuals.
