Challenge and the Goulburn Valley Junior Motorcycle Club teamed up once again to provide one of the fastest and furious motorbike camps of all time!
Jam-packed with adrenaline, this three-day camp in Shepparton allowed 20 Challenge troopers the chance to get dirty and zip around the track.
For many of the kids, it was a first-time experience riding on a motorbike, so naturally, they were initially a little apprehensive. But with time and of course the help of riding sensation Glenn McDonald (better known as Macca!), the kids were fitted out with gear and were revving their engines in no time.
As they became more familiar with the dos and don’ts of motorbike riding, the kids began to focus on mastering their skills – smoothing their turns, extending their jumps, and pushing harder along the straights. In fact, we think we may have discovered some of the future’s motocross superstars!
The highlight of the camp was seeing these kids turn fear into freedom. They easily could have sat out and watched from the sidelines, but everyone stepped out of their comfort zone and gave it a go!
A huge thank you to everyone involved in the success of this camp! You helped create memories these kids will cherish forever, and we are so grateful for your support. From motorbike assistance to preparing food, you all played your role in making this camp possible.
Without the generosity and support of every individual and organisation involved, these kids would not have had the opportunity to escape their everyday lives, build their confidence and expand their limits.
We look forward to being back in 2020!
