Twenty-nine Challenge troopers made a trip to Moama for our annual Waterskills Camp and what a blast it was!
It was a weekend of non-stop fun with kneeboarding, wakeboarding and tubing all on the agenda. The weather held up for us with the Sunday delivering perfect condition for a day out on the winding waters of the Murray River.
The most extraordinary aspect of this camp is the opportunity it gives these teens who have been affected by cancer in their lives. Some had never been behind a boat before last weekend and the thought of it may have daunted them. Now, they can say the opposite – it thrills them!
We would like to thank all the people and businesses involved in making this camp the great success it was and has been for eight consecutive years. There are too many to name, but you are all incredible.
A big thank you especially to Mick Viney who always goes above and beyond for Challenge and our members; and to our volunteers who are so generous with their time and energy. You are the backbone of this camp and we cannot thank you all enough.
