Buzzing with Action!

Weeding, gardening, fixing fences, tending to the veggie patch – you name it!

Over the weekend, we rolled up our sleeves for the very first working bee at our Nicholas Timms Retreat in Healesville. It was a picture-perfect day, made even better by an incredible group of people – Challenge dads from the DUC Club, dedicated Challenge volunteers, and some new friends who jumped in to lend a hand.

From tidying up the gardens to tackling much-needed repairs, everyone put in a huge effort. And, of course, no hard work goes unrewarded as we wrapped up the day with a well-earned BBQ lunch, enjoying great food and even better company.

A huge shout-out to Steve C and Steve W for keeping everything on track and making sure we all stayed on course! A big thanks also to Sue, our incredible caretaker, whose hard work never goes unnoticed, and to all the volunteers who generously gave up their time to lend a hand. It was a massive day, but one packed with laughter, teamwork, and a real sense of achievement. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
