It seems the cool change is setting in and it has come at the right time, with the Challenge summer holiday program having come to an end – and despite the heat, it’s been a hit!

Bringing the New Year in with a bang (or should we say splash), Challenge families made their way to Melton where they tested their water skills and abilities on the Melton Weir. While the weather was forecasted to be stormy, the sun persisted and provided our families with the perfect setting for skiing and all other water sports.

For our members who prefer to let professionals do their thing, Challenge had an ace day planned at the Australian Open! Our Challenge teens got to witness greatness, as Roger Federer trained for what ended with him winning his 20th Grand Slam! They even took on their own contest – NERF war contest that is! With something for everyone, it is safe to say, those who came along absolutely LOVEd it!

To cool down from the heat, we hit the water again, but this time at the N.W.S.C ski club! Those who were game tried their luck at wakeboarding, but the favourite water activity for the day was no doubt the donut! After hours out on the water and more importantly, a delicious BBQ lunch, Challenge families were tuckered out.

The best way to conclude an action-packed School Holiday Program is always with nóstimo fagitó! Thanks to Kathy Tsaples of Sweet Greek from the Prahran Market and the Lilydale High School, our Challenge chefs tried their hand at mastering the craft of traditional Greek cooking – delicious food was made and delicious food was devoured, the only downfall is that no one brought any back into the Challenge office!

We would like to thank all of the businesses and clubs who ensured our Challenge families had a sensational Aussie Summer, and most importantly make some wonderful memories together.

With a month full of fun activities, January is almost over, and that means the start of the school year is almost upon us! Best of luck to all our Challenge members who are starting their first year of school and those heading into VCE! We are certain that you will all smash it!
