The Christopher Wise Scholarship was created in memory of Challenge Member Christopher Wise, whose enthusiasm and steadfast commitment to learning inspired everyone around him. Christopher’s family remain closely involved in the selection process and continue to champion the scholarship with genuine care and encouragement.
Scholarship Overview
The Christopher Wise Education Scholarship offers financial assistance to children and adolescent patients, helping them stay on track with their education to support both their academic and personal growth. Moreover, this scholarship enables applicants to engage in activities that contribute positively to their overall well-being and development.
Applications are due at the end of Terms 1 and 3 each year, with funding awarded twice a year to support students in the upcoming term.
Eligibility
- Be a Challenge member who has been diagnosed with cancer or a life-threatening blood disorder
- Be aged between 5 and 18 years (inclusive)
- Not have previously been awarded the Christopher Wise Scholarship.
Scholarship Benefits
Funds from the scholarship can be used for academic support, including tuition fees, special courses, or resources necessary for successful learning. Additionally, the scholarship may cover extra-curricular activities such as music or sporting lessons, allowing students to explore their talents and interests beyond the classroom.
