Challenge Family Accommodation Guidelines
- When to book: Bookings open three months before the month of travel for all properties.
(For example, if you’d like to travel in October, you can submit your booking request from 1 July onwards). - Who can stay: Accommodation is available for immediate family members only. Unfortunately, we’re not able to host extended family or friends.
- How often you can stay: Each Challenge family has the opportunity to access each property once. Please note that stays depend on availability and can’t always be guaranteed.
- Before booking flights: If you’re requesting a stay at our Queensland apartment, please wait until your accommodation is confirmed before booking flights.
- Pets: We love furry friends, but unfortunately pets aren’t permitted at Challenge properties.
We receive a large number of booking requests, especially during school holidays. While we do our very best to accommodate everyone, we may not always be able to offer your preferred dates. If your family has already enjoyed a stay during a school holiday period, we kindly ask for your understanding that other families who haven’t yet had the opportunity will be given priority. This helps ensure that every Challenge family has the chance to enjoy these special experiences.
Properties based in Victoria
Anderson Rise Retreat, Anderson (near Phillip Island) – sleeps five.
- Bookings are Thursday to Monday (four nights, check-in/out noon).
Melon’s Cottage, Lakes Entrance – sleeps five.
- Bookings are Tuesday to Sunday (five nights, check-in 2pm, check-out 10am).
Nicholas Timms Retreat, Healesville – sleeps six.
- Bookings are Tuesday to Sunday (five nights, check-in 2pm, check-out 10am)
- Healesville Sanctuary tickets may be available.
Trevor Barker House, Torquay – sleeps eight.
- Bookings are Tuesday to Sunday (five nights, check-in 2pm, check-out noon).
Wilson’s Retreat, Blairgowrie – sleeps six.
- Bookings are Tuesday to Sunday (five nights, check-in 1.30pm, check-out noon),
- Enchanted Adventure Garden tickets may be available.
Property based in Queensland
BreakFree Diamond Beach Resort, Broadbeach – sleeps six.
- Bookings are Monday to Sunday (six nights, check-in 2pm, check-out 10am),
- A Toyota Tarago may be available for use during your stay, in the local area (needs to be picked up and dropped back),
- Theme park passes may be available (Movie World, Sea World, and Wet ‘N’ Wild),
- Flights are not included and must be organised and paid for by the family.
