Tackling Childhood Cancer with the Essendon Football Club

As part of a long-standing partnership, the Essendon Football Club commits one game each year – known as the ‘Tackling Childhood Cancer’ match typically held mid-season – in support of Challenge families living with cancer. Come game day, in the hope that restrictions have eased, 22 Challenge kids will also be given the chance to run onto the ground, hand-in-hand with their AFL superheroes.

This year’s ‘Tackling Childhood Cancer’ match will take place in Round 22 when the Dons take on the mighty Power.

Not only is this match an opportunity for fundraising and awareness; most importantly, it is an opportunity for our kids and families to enjoy an experience that money cannot buy.

Challenge is extraordinarily appreciative of the support we have received from the Essendon Football Club. We rely on strong relationships like the one we share with Essendon and it is a huge honour to be a part of the ‘Tackling Childhood Cancer’ match.

Make sure you spread the word to tune into the match and help us tackle childhood cancer!
