Brennan’s Challenge4Challenge

05 September 2025

245 Kilometres. Four Days. One Man on a Mission.

At Challenge, we know what it means to face the unthinkable. Every day, we stand beside families navigating childhood cancer, a journey defined by courage, uncertainty, and extraordinary strength.

This August, one man embodied that same spirit of resilience stride for stride.

Meet Brennan. Over four gruelling days, he ran 245 kilometres from Barmah all the way to the Challenge Family Centre in West Melbourne. It pushed his mind, body, and spirit to their limits, but Brennan smashed the run, carrying with him the knowledge of the uphill battles kids with cancer face every single day. That knowledge is what drove him to make a difference, one step at a time.

Before setting off, Brennan stopped by the Family Centre with the two pairs of runners he would rely on for his journey. He also brought a pack of coloured markers, inviting our little Playgroup members to fill his shoes with messages of love, courage, and good luck – words he carried with him every step of the way.

Brennan set himself a bold goal of raising $100,000 for Challenge. By the time he crossed the finish line, greeted by friends, family, and supporters inspired by his feat, he had well and truly surpassed it, raising over $150,000 to help kids and families living with cancer.

We are in awe of Brennan’s determination. His run wasn’t just about kilometres; it was about community, compassion, and proving the incredible things one person can achieve when inspired by a cause greater than themselves.
