A Big City Adventure: Urban Camp 2025

Last month, 80 Challenge kids swapped the indoors for the energy of city life at Urban Camp – a three-day adventure filled with laughter, friendship, and unforgettable memories.

From meeting furry friends at the Melbourne Zoo to braving the rides at Luna Park, every moment was packed with excitement. The group explored the city’s cultural side during an exclusive night at Melbourne Museum, featuring the Star Wars LEGO exhibition, before dancing the night away on a disco cruise across the bay.

Urban Camp was all about discovery – not just of Melbourne, but of confidence, connection, and joy. For many of our members, it was their very first time seeing the city in all its excitement and colour, which made the experience even more special.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers and staff who made the camp possible, and to the kids whose energy and smiles reminded us what Challenge is all about: creating moments of magic that last a lifetime.
