Ben Brown’s Chop the Mop

Melbourne Football Club superstar and premiership player, Ben Brown, recently shaved his recognisable long locks at the Demons’ Family Day to raise money for Challenge.

Ben has a personal understanding of the impact a cancer diagnosis can have on a family.

“My teenage cousin, Grace, was diagnosed with leukaemia at age six and has since beaten cancer not once, but twice. Family means everything to me and Challenge were there for Grace and her family throughout some of the worst moments a family can go through,” Ben said.

Your support means the world to us, and it will make a tangible difference in the lives of young people like your cousin, Grace, who are facing the immense challenges of cancer. With the funds you have raised, we will be able to provide vital support services, accommodation, and recreational programs to help them through their journeys.

It is heartening to see how you have turned your personal experience into a force for good, and we are honoured to be a part of that journey. Your compassion and kindness are a true testament to the power of the human spirit, and we are proud to call you a friend of Challenge.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, and for reminding us all that in times of hardship, we can still find hope and strength through the support of our communities.

A big thank you to everyone who has already supported Ben Brown’s Chop the Mop campaign. We would also like to extend our special thanks to the Melbourne Football Club, Hairhouse Australia, Beyond Bank, and the AFL Players who all helped bring this event together through their generosity and support of the campaign.
