Cohuna Matata!

29 August 2019

This year, we celebrated the 5th anniversary of Cohuna Camp and what a ball we had!

It does not feel so long ago that Challenge was first approached by our dear friend Brooke with her idea to start a camp for our members in the heart of her beloved home town – and yet here we are, five years on.

Setting off Thursday morning and packing up camp Sunday, we escaped the hustle and bustle of city life to spend a long weekend away in the rural town of Cohuna, nestled on the banks of the majestic Gunbower Creek.

From buggy racing at speeds faster than light to leisurely fishing by the banks of the creek, we enjoyed a wide variety of activities that saw us climbing, swinging, and sometimes just thinking! Above all, what the kids relished most was the chance to be free and enjoy the company of good people and good vibes.

We cannot thank the Cohuna community enough for their endless generosity and dedication to making this a camp our members can treasure forever. There aren’t enough words to express how grateful we are.

A special thank you to Brooke and her team for once again putting their heart and soul into this camp. Brooke and her team have achieved exactly what they set out to do, which was to make life a little brighter for kids living with cancer. You are an inspiration to us all!

We have put together a little video and collection of photos to give you an idea what a special camp this truly was and will continue to be.
