How much does it cost to become a Challenge member? |
Becoming a member of Challenge is free for children and families living with cancer or other life threatening blood disorders. At no stage do we ask our members to pay for anything. |
Does Challenge only support families while their child is undergoing treatment? |
No. Challenge is an ongoing support service and we will support all children (patients and siblings) and their families until they reach the age of 19, or until members feel they no longer require Challenge services. Bereaved families are also continually supported by the Challenge program for as long as they feel they need it. |
Who can attend camps? |
All patients and siblings can go on any camp that is age appropriate. It's great for newly diagnosed kids to attend camps with their siblings and with children who have finished treatment. Great friendships and support networks are formed during camps. |
What support is available for children who are too young to attend camps? |
Our support is provided to the whole family, so if your child is too young to attend camps, we offer support services such as accommodation in our beach houses, Challenge Playgroup and tickets to events aimed at younger kids such as The Wiggles and Hi-5. |
